Information on MyHome Server F460 and F461

Hi Leslie,

I’ve seen that the new MyHome servers F460 and F461 are finally available in Italy.

I’m currently using a MyHomeServer1, which I manage both via HomeAssistant and the Home+Control app, and I’d like to replace it with one of the new models.

If I understand correctly, the F461 model can interface with third-party systems using the OpenWebNet protocol. Can you confirm this?

Additionally, I assume that communication with HomeAssistant should not be an issue, as I imagine it works similarly to MyHomeServer1. Can you confirm this as well?

Lastly, I’d like to know if the F460 model supports both Home+Control and OpenWebNet. Could you provide some details on this?

Furthermore, could you outline the main advantages of the new MyHome servers F460 and F461 compared to MyHomeServer1?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Looking forward to your response.

Hello Alex,
I asked for some information to the marketing team :
“If I understand correctly, the F461 model can interface with third-party systems using the OpenWebNet protocol. Can you confirm this?” <= yes, it also works with the OWN protocol
“Additionally, I assume that communication with HomeAssistant should not be an issue, as I imagine it works similarly to MyHomeServer1. Can you confirm this as well?” <= good question ! As it’s a third-party service, we don’t work on the integrations. You should ask the question directly to their community, as it seems that there are a very few information about this
“Lastly, I’d like to know if the F460 model supports both Home+Control and OpenWebNet. Could you provide some details on this?” <= Yes, the F460 work with Home + Control app and is compatible with OWN protocol (EDIT : The F460 is ONLY compatible with Home + Control app and not OWN)
“Furthermore, could you outline the main advantages of the new MyHome servers F460 and F461 compared to MyHomeServer1?” <= I added in the attachments 3 screenshots sent by the marketing, it could help you. Otherwise, you should ask directly the question to the Italian customer support 🙂

Thank you very much for you quick reply.
can you confirm, if you can double check with tech department, if F460 provides OWN protocol?

BTicino Customer Care (Italy) and my electrician told me that is not compatible and provides H+C only.

I do hope is really like you said both H+C and OWN just like MHS1.

Thanks.
Have a great day

Hello Alex,
Indeed I just talked to the Italian support and my answer was wrong. Here is what they told me : “F461 is the third parties server for OWN protocol while F460 is the MyHome gateway only for H+C and is not compatible with OWN”
As I’m not into hardware I don’t well know the differences between the servers/modules for MyHOME offer. Sorry for the bad information at first 🙁
I opened an internal ticket to the support to ask them if we have a hardware solution to manage both H+C and OWN use. I’ll tell you once I know more

Thank you Leslie! Your support is truly appreciated.

Unfortunately from the doc doesn’t seem possible to have F460 and F461 coexisting on the same BUS.

It’d be great to have a configuration that allows to manage both F460 and F461.

Let me know when you’ll get answer from the internal ticket.

Hi again,
Here is the answer from the internal support :
We confirm :
– F460 = only for H+C, not OWN compatible
– F461 = only OWN compatible, not available for a use in H+C app
I’m not sure but I remember that Home Assistant third-party service need a to work and internal configuration with A and PL devices address and a OWN server where send and receive Myhome message.
So you can use for this scope all available Bticino OWN gateway. In particular I suggest to use MH201 or F459.
F459 is used in a lot of plants in order to manage third-party thermoregulation systems, so I’m confident that F460 and F459 can coexist without problem.
I didn’t tested the combination F460 and MH201 but I’m confident that there aren’t problems when both devices are on the same plant.

Ok, thanks

So we’ve 2 options here to work with HomeAssistant / Third Parties, based on what you just wrote:

- F461 can work with Home Assistant as it does provide OWN protocol

- F460 + MyHomeServer 1: F460 supports H+C whereas MyHomeServer1 provides OWN protocol

Is that correct?

Thanks

Have a good day

“F460 + MyHomeServer 1: F460 supports H+C whereas MyHomeServer1 provides OWN protocol. Is that correct?” <= Yes, but the MHS1 must only be used as an open gateway, it must not be configured with Home + Project app
