Based on the technical documentation bundled with the switches, if you want to create a 3 way switch, you have to do it either with a connected switch + wireless switch or with 2 wireless switches.

Given that price for both wireless and connected switches is similar, and the connected ones can display the LED indicator all the time and won’t run out of battery, I would really love to be able to use 2 connected switches to do a 3-way switch. I really do not think there is a hardware limitation to do this and I understand even if its by leaving one of the lightbulb cable ends unconnected on one of the connected switches, this should be technically feasible without any sort of hardware modification.
