bticino 4 scenarios control (K4575CW) not available in Apple Home app

I installed bticino Living Now smart home solution in my newly renovated apartment. I purchased the bticino living now range due primarily due to its compatibility with HomeKit. I have the Legrand gateway and in&out scenario control (K4500C) and I was able to connect them to the Apple Home app. Both products are shown in the Home App and the in&out scenario control is properly displayed as a switch with configurable “button 1” and “button 2”.

I also purchased the 4 scenarios control (K4575CW) hoping to be able to customize the 4 buttons via Apple Home app as well. I was able to associate the item with the Legrand gateway, but no matter what I do I can’t get it to show in the Apple Home app. Is there a way to get the 4 scenarios control visible in the Home app?

Thank you.

Hello,

The 4-scene button is supposed to appear in HomeKit. Please check in your Home + Control app if your gateway is up-to-date (firmware version 253) and also your switch (firmware version 31)

If your switch is not at the correct firmware version, you can try to force update (you will find the procedure with a search on the forum) or to delete and re-install it

If firmware versions are OK, please send me via the contact form the email address of your Home + Control account. I’ll then check if I see a problem with your installation

Hi Leslie,

thanks for pointing that out. Indeed my wireless 4 scenes switch is currently running on firmware 6. Gateway is up to date (253). I’ll look into how to push the firmware update for the 4 scenes switch, hopefully this will make it visible in the Apple Home app.

Thanks!

It worked like a charm. I performed all the actions to force update firmware. After it was installed, I re-associated the switch with the gateway and it appeared in the Apple Home app.

thank you

Hi Leslie,

I finally configured everything and it seems that the scenario switch doesn’t work properly with HomeKit.

Apart from the fact that the button numbers are not in the correct order, I am not able to get the switch to do any operations I’ve assigned it to. I already tried disassociating and associating it twice but no luck. I can see it in HomeKit and everything but the switch simply doesn’t react no matter what commands I assign it to. I have a few other switches that aren’t scenario switches (K4003CW and K4003CWI) and they work properly.

At this point, the scenario switch I have in my living room is not functional at all. Can you please help me out and see how we can solve this issue?

Hello,

It’s a known bug with the 4-scenes switch in HomeKit with the current gateway version. It’s planned to be corrected with the next 30x gateway version

Hi Leslie,

thanks for the info. I’m looking forward to get this sorted because I have a K4575CW unit supposed to control all lighting devices in my kitchen and living room. For now the only way to control them is with my smartphone and with Siri through HomePod.

The current gateway firmware is 253, right? Do you have the info on when the next release planned for?

Hello,

Indeed the Production version is 253. The next one will be a 30x (probably 305). Teams will try to release this new version before the end of the year

Any news on this?

Hello,

The NLG-306 version is in Production and is currently displayed. If you still don’t have it, it should arrive in the next few days for you if your gateway is connected to internet

Hi Leslie. My gateway still wasnt updated. It still shows 253.
is there a way to force the update?

I would really appreciate the info on how to make the gateway update to happen. It’s been almost a month since I’m waiting for this, and four months living with K4575CW module that doesn’t work at all 🙁

Hello,

You could try to :

  • go to “Manage my home” and click on your gateway, you have a blue button “configure the network”. Redo the configuration, it should launch a request on our side for firmware update
  • Or cut the power of your gateway and reestablish it. It should also launch a request at reconnection

If you are not still able to get the latest gateway version about it, you must contact the Customer Support of your country

Hi Leslie

I also waited for this update. Update was performed correctly. Now  my gateway is running on new version 306, but still don’t receive information about pressing buttons in home kit. Button  In/Out Home working correctly. Firmwear of 4 scenario button is 31. It is actual?

Thanks for response.

Hi Peter,

We have a fix being currently deployed for the management of 4-scenes scenario switch in HomeKit (version 36). It’s planned a full deployment for the first week of February
