<p>Hi, I’m facing the following problem: I have a Valena Life gateway properly installed and integrated in Homekit. I have also successfully installed a home/away wireless switch and a connected module for garage and gate (code 067696). Although everything works well within the Control App of the iPhone, for some reason I don’t get to see the gate opener in HomeKit! I can see I can see the Home/Away wireless switch, I can see the smart power outlet of the Valena Life gateway, but I can’t see the connected module for garage and gate! The purpose of this installation was to be able to control the gate opener with Siri voice command. Does anyone have an idea of what could the issue be? Thank you in advance</p><p>(iOS and Home app updated to the latest version) </p>

This device is not HomeKit native, that’s why you can’t integrate it directly via HomeKit. But here are some alternative solutions :

• Use Home + Control scenarios : You can create scenarios (e.g., “Open garage”) and trigger them via HomeKit by using automations
• Use a third-party bridge : Homebridge or Home Assistant with the Legrand/Netatmo plugin can expose the micromodule to HomeKit
• Create an iOS shortcut : configure it to be used with Siri

<p>Hello Leslie, thanks for the reply.</p><p>I tried the third-party bridge option since I have the Home Assistant Green, but it just won’t work. I installed the Netatmo plugin, the module was discovered and exposed to HomeKit with the HomeKit bridge, but it doesn’t work. It won’t open or close if I tap on the gate opener icon in the Apple home app, and it won’t work if I give the voice commands open/close gate to Siri either.</p><p>Would you be kind enough to explain how I could make it work with either the Home +Control scenarios option or the iOS shortcut option?</p><p>I was hoping for a step by step solution that will actually do the trick and get Siri to open and close the gate.</p><p>Thanks again</p>

<p>Never mind, I managed to do it with shortcuts. However, I need to say that the Legrand Home app for iOS needs serious attention. It keeps on asking for account verification and even though I do it correctly, it gets in a loop of asking the same thing over and over. And unless you kill the app on an iPhone, it won’t let you complete the task.</p>

Thanks for this feedback. Can you please tell me which is the version of the Home + Control iOS app you are using and the model of your iPhone ? I’ll then create a ticket for the teams in order them to check why you have this behaviour

<p>Hi</p><p>Ok, I’m sending you attached files and you can see the app version. It’s the latest version, no new update available. iPhone 17 pro. Another thing is that red notification on the app icon, that simply won’t go away. I’ve searched everywhere in case it’s some sort of new or notification, the settings, etc. but couldn’t find anything.</p><p> </p><p>Have a good day </p>
