Getting Started with Home Assistant

Hello, I have a Bticino SCS system (I have a E49 module in my electrical panel).
I’m struggling to understand what I need to make my lights/shutters smart. I want to control them with Home Assistant and don’t care about Alexa, etc.

I found that the MH201 module could be suitable, by connecting it to the SCS bus and to my router via ethernet. I also have Zigbee, if needed.

Is this correct? Do I need anything else? Once installed, what would I need to do to add lights and shutters in Home Assistant?

Thank you

Hello Sergio,

I don’t well know the MyHOME range, but as far as I understand :

I don’t know if further hardware is needed, but if you can already remotely manage your installation without anything else I would say no

The best is to ask your questions directly to the HA community as we are not linked to the development of these integrations

Hi Leslie and thank you for your reply.

I don’t have a Myhomeserver1 nor any other means to remote control my system.

The HA community suggested a MH201 which is way cheaper than a Myhomeserver1, but I’m not sure if it’s a viable solution for my situation.

Hi Sergio,

For me the MH201 is only a scenario manager, it can’t act as a gateway like a Myhomeserver1, or a F460/F461

You should maybe contact your local Bticino customer support, tell them what you currently have in your installation and what you want to do, and they should be able to guide you 🙂

Have a good day,
