Issues After Legrand Gateway Firmware Update 1001

Yesterday, my Legrand Gateway updated to firmware version 1001.

During the update, the gateway became unresponsive, forcing me to perform a power-down reset.

After powering it back on and reconfiguring the WiFi, the gateway started working normally, but all switches and outlets were moved to an “undefined room” in the Home & Control app.

Additionally, all device names were erased, and the setting for how many watts each switch consumes has been reset. The energy consumption history is still there, but the wattage configuration for each switch is gone.

After manually reassigning everything, I realized that in the Home & Control app, I can no longer modify most of the settings. The only adjustable options are the device name and energy consumption.

Specifically, I can no longer:
• Enable or disable dimming
• Control whether the LED indicator remains permanently on
• Configure roller shutters to open at a specific percentage

The strange thing is that my scenes remained intact and still function properly (e.g., “open windows halfway”), as well as the previous settings for my switches. However, I am now unable to change any of these settings.

For testing purposes, I reset one of the switches using the physical reset button (behind the protective cover), but it didn’t help.

I also updated the Home & Control app to the latest version (4.0), but the issue persists.

I don’t know what else to do—this update has been a huge disappointment for me… Very frustrating.

Any suggestions?

One more issue I have noticed is that I am changing the Consumption to all devices and after some time it returns to the default value of 8W….

I assume it is the same issue….

Hello Andrew,

I created an internal ticket for investigation. I come back to you once I have an answer or if the teams need more information

Hello,

I just discussed it with the teams :

  • in backoffice nothing seems wrong with your installation
  • we suggest to wait a few days to see if the installation “recovers from itself”. Maybe the power cut-down during the firmware update provoked some problems. But we confirmed the NLG update is OK
  • if after a few days you still have problems, please warn your local support. For Greece : https://www.legrand.gr/el/techniki-ypostirixi/epikoinoniste-mazi-mas

Thank you Leslie for your reply!

I will wait a few days of course!

But I am trying to avoid local support. Many people here shared their experience.

Do you think if I fully reset the gateway will make it work ?

Hi again,

In my opinion, a full reset could work (but it’s painful to reassociate all devices and very frustrating if it doesn’t work after this …). I still advise to wait a bit before doing it

If you face problems with your local support, please warn me and I’ll see on my side how to accelerate this 🙂

Thank you very much Leslie, you are always very helpful!

Thank you very much for your reply, I will keep you posted in case someone else will have the same issue!
