NLT / NLD OTA update process

Hi,

According to NLT and NLD device Legrand specifications,

Could you please tell us:

what is exactly the expected condition to initiate themselves an OTA update process?

is there any limitation regarding battery soc?, linkage quality? any thresholds? and so on …

Thank you by advance for you efficient answers,

Br

/olivier

+1 for this.

please give us any info about how to update the battery remote switches. especially using zigbee 3.0 mode. all my device are updating but only battery ones are timing out and don’t start the update process

Hello,

Here is the answer from the teams :

“If the remote switch has a battery with a voltage greater than 2100 mV, the update should work. In theory, remote controls in a ZB3 network ask for an update at boot, and every 12 hours.

With a Zigbee capture we’ll be able to determinate if the ZED is faulty or not”

Hello ,

yes please help us to understand whats wrong because OTA upstate stalls.

log file attached.

first analysis from my side;

 • Request and response sequence for image blocks is fully consistent and correct.
 • No block-level transfer errors, mismatches, or anomalies.
 • Stall is caused by missing manufacturer-specific protocol handling after block transfer (i.e., Zigbee2MQTT does not handle the Legrand-specific post-OTA command, so the device never completes the update).

Failed to parse frame: Error: Cluster ‘manuSpecificLegrandDevices’ has no command ‘9’

what is it?

please advise us

thank you for supporting us

Have a nice day

/olivier

Hello,

Here is the feedback from the team :

“The 9 command of this cluster allows our gtw to pair 2 Zigbee devices. It’s Legrand specific, their gtw must ignore this frame. But I don’t think that it avoids the update to be done.”

@olivier the logs you sent are the ones from your gateway but not a wireshark Zigbee capture. So it’s complicated to help with these logs. Can you send a wireshark capture ?
