wifi pairing

Hello, I’m having a recurring problem with Wi-Fi pairing at clients’ locations.

Your network coordinators only accept 2.4GHz connections, however, most ISP routers now offer both 5GHz and 2.4GHz. But when configuring this Wi-Fi, if our phone is on 5GHz (which is 90% of the time), no connection can be established. So, we end up having to force the 2.4GHz connection at clients’ locations to configure it. Something needs to be done about this.

Because it’s a huge waste of time to do all these manipulations. And implementing 5GHz support can only be better for Zigbee (it would prevent Wi-Fi from interfering with Zigbee).

Hello Yannick,
As far as I know, the wifi chip of the gateway only supports 2.4GHz networks. So, it’s a hardware limitation
I don’t know if it’s planned to provide in the future a gateway able to manage also 5GHz. I invite you to contact directly the Legrand Pro support and ask them : https://www.legrand.fr/pro/nous-contacter
And while you’re at it, you could also ask them if they have a better manual update process. I don’t find any relevant response for it in our internal documentation
Have a good day,
