Compatibility between Bticino K4411 and dimmable LED drivers for LED strips

Hi,

We have an installation to achieve with 8 LED strips that requires 3x 75W and 1x 100W dimmable LED drivers. The K4411 seems to be the only Bticino model capable of handling of 325W load. The client already has Bticino LNow switches so it has to be Bticino LNow.

We were not able to find any information in the technical documentation about the compatibility of your K4411 with dimmable LED drivers, The current model we are installing are the Meanwell ELG-75-24B-3Y and ELG-100-24B-3Y.

Could you tell us if your K4411 does support those drivers and if not what drivers or Bticino dimmer would you advise to control a ~400W dimmable LED strips installation ?

Regards,

Sam.

Hello Sam,

You can find information here : https://catalogue.bticino.com/app/webroot/low_res/485416_485424_LE10435AA.pdf

As we are on a forum for developers, I can’t bring much help when it deals with pure hardware questions. I strongly advise you to contact directly the Customer Support of your country or your Legrand/Bticino representative. They’ll be able to tell you exactly if it will work

Hi Leslie,

Thank you for your fast reply.

Sorry for the confusion as I thought this was the support forum because I read a discussion between you and someone else about the K4411C here: https://developer.legrand.com/forums/topic/k4411c-dimmer-switch-usage/

We’ll try to find the Legrand France customer support but unfortunately every time we tried no one knew there about the Bticino hardware…

With regards to the pdf you sent us, this is the one we already have but there are no relevant information  about the compatibility with LED  drivers, hence my post here. There is a mention of a max 400W load  but that’s it. Also there are symbols such as R, L, C/L in the first table that we have no idea what they mean in electricity :). They are not the usual Resistance or Phase symbols obviously…

Regards,

Sam.

Hello Sam,

Indeed, as this solution is not sold in France, the french customer support is not able to bring answers

I opened an internal ticket to my colleagues from the Italian support, I’ll tell you once I have their feedback 😉

Hi Leslie,

Thank you so much for this ! Much appreciated.

The worst part is that it is actually being sold in France: https://www.legrand.fr/pro/catalogue/44469-variateur-2-fils-sans-neutre/variateur-toutes-charges-dimmables-living-now-2-fils-sans-neutre-2-modules

We have already installed many k4411C with the gateway  K4510C for some of our clients but we never installed any K4411.

Unfortunately as I just said before no one at Legrand France seems to be able to answer any of our questions with regards to any of the Bticino devices.

Hopefully we will be luckier with the Italian support. Anyway, we just ordered a k4411 because our client is in a rush so we will know very soon if it is compatible with the LED drivers/strips we have installed.

All the best,

Sam.
