574201 / 4003C NLL Not turning on without load

Hi,

This may be an odd one, but I’d like to use the wired switch with neutral as a wireless switch, so that I don’t need to remember changing the batteries.

My plan was to:

  • Add a wired switch to the actual lights (this works well)
  • Add a wired switch just connected to Live and Neutral
  • Create a Zigbee group for the two so that I can trigger the lights from either switch, and see whether they’re on or not using the LED (led_if_on enabled)

However, the 2nd piece doesn’t seem to work – without a load on output 1, it seems that “turning on” the switch does nothing. It remains as off on Zigbee and the LED won’t turn on. It seems like the switch is aware of whether there’s a load or not?

Is there any way to allow the switch to work without a load?

Any other ideas?
Thanks

Or if I were to place a resistor between 1 and N to have a minimal load, is there a minimum power threshold that needs to be reached?

Hello Niccolo,

Indeed, buttons from our wired switches are not radio transmitters (ZED). So, they can’t be associated to other wired devices to pilot the same load. Only wireless devices are ZED and so, able to do this

Have a good day,
