MyHome DALI Gateway F429G

Hello Leslie, Happy New Year !

I’ve been playing around with the new DALI devices F429D and F429G. While the D is pretty straight forward I have a question for the G ( Gateway ) module.

In my example setup with an EOS300 I am using a magnetic track with 4 DALI 2 DT8 lights , the F429G can see all of them and I can configure them, however only as independent lights, so for one track all 4 lights would appear as separate lights in the App.
Generally when dealing with addressable DALI controllers, you should be able to group DALI luminates in order to control them as one, however I don’t see a way of doing this in Home+Project, apart of course from grouping them on a button, but they would still show separate in the APP which makes it impossible to control in sync.

Am I missing something or is this a upcoming feature ?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ned

In a nutshell :

K4653M2 = specialized lighting command only, in DALI protocol
K4652M2M = versatile home automation command in SCS able to also manage other functions like shutters, scenarios or locks

Are you sure? I dose not make sense to have two devices that can do absolutely the same thing, but the one of them could do more for the same price. In the description of the K4653M2 is stated this:

” 2-module flush mounted control, dedicated to the management of Dali2 lights through up to 4 ambiences (A,B,C,D): the ambience is a group of Dali2 lights with a specific setting of each light that can be recalled by this push button and from the Home + Control App.”

I think that the device is communicating directly with the F429G and is creating only one SCS address for every “ambience”. Could you please verify that.
